The purpose of this website started as a graduate school assignment. At first, I couldn't figure out what I wanted to make a website about. I eventually settled on HP Lovecraft because he influenced me greatly when I was younger and I would like to introduce his work to another generation of readers. As I slowly plugged along making this site, I got more and more interested in making more than just a assignment and more of a educational website about HP Lovecraft.
This website offers HP Lovecraft's complete biography. It doesn't have all the details that other sources might have but I believe that it is enough to satisfy this modest website. The anthology lists all of Lovecraft's short horror stories in chronological order. The last page relating to Lovecraft is the links page. The links include most of Lovecraft's well known stories that are free to read. Another link is the look into Edgar Allan Poe and Lovecraft. These two amazing authors have great similarities in writing style, though they are from different generations.
I just hope that some people find this website useful and that it might inspire some people to read Lovecraft. There is nothing more delicious than sitting at home (or wherever you are)and reading about things that go bump in the night. You realize that by reading lovecraft, you are reading the same texts that have inspired great authors such as Stephen King, Clive Barker and Wes Craven. I would love to hear from anybody that has a opinion about this site, both good or bad. My email is at the bottom of every page on this site, feel free to email me.
